As we are fast approaching our one year anniversary. It's hard to believe that a little over a year ago PeachTree was just a dream. As a child it was always a special treat to walk the yellow brick road and then go to dinner at House of Szechwan. I am lucky to have a sister that wanted to embark on this journey with me. Together, with our husbands and children, we remodeled the store and started making the steps to make PeachTree what it is today. PeachTree wasn't one of those stores that opened up on day one and it was perfect. PeachTree has been a journey into becoming our own and leaning on one another and birthing the vision we both share. It sometimes amazes me that we have truly made this dream our reality. Hayley and I not only own the store, we both have other careers. Hayley is a professional make up artist and I am a registered nurse. Most importantly, we are also mommies. I have three girls, Ella 11, Lola 8, and Gia 6. Hayley has Belén 7 and Madden 5. We are not only proud of where PeachTree came from, we are excited for where we are going. There is a movement building around our store and in our community. We are ready to step forward into the future. PeachTree is not only a store, it is a movement. We are showing the world that we can have it all and have our values remain intact. We can teach our children to work for what they want ,and that prosperity isn't given , it's achieved. I am so glad to show my children what hard work and sacrifice look like. I live it and so do they, along my side. Our children have been very much apart of the sacrifices. They have sorted boxes, carried merchandise, and played hide and seek within the walls of this store. They have come to understand that dreams take work. It isn't waking up one day with a dream handed to you. It's late night research, demolition, and pushing through trying times. Our dream doesn't stop here, it's ever evolving, walking, and living. So, Happy Anniversary to us. I can't wait to see where we are next year!
